BIO
As an Indiana native from very humble beginnings, Ms. Winslow feels blessed beyond measure to have a thriving career as one of the entertainment industry’s leading makeup artist.
Her illustrious career began in Cleveland, Ohio where she became a licensed cosmetologist and began representing such prestigious cosmetic firms as Fashion Fair, Revlon, Charles of the Ritz and Helena Rubenstein as a free-lance beauty consultant. She later relocated to New York City where she obtained a second cosmetologist license and earned a certificate of esthetics from the famous Christine Valmy International Skin Care School.
She began perfecting her craft with a spirit of excellence and a determined belief that preparation and opportunity would soon merge. As a New York resident, Ms. Winslow owned and operated a full service skin care salon while managing her son’s modeling career.
Having transformed faces throughout this country and abroad for more than 25 years has successfully established her as one of the best in the business and placed a demand on her gifts from such notables as Delroy Lindo, Oprah Winfrey, Lynn Redgrave and Angela Bassett. Other clientele include President Richard Nixon, First Lady, Michele Obama, Kimberly Elise and Rosario Dawson, just to name a few! Her presence has been requested by accomplished directors and producers which include Spike Lee, Jonathan Demme, Forest Whitaker, Charles Dutton and Tyler Perry. Her work has been seen on stage and screen (big and small) in advertising, the political arena and live events, too numerous to mention.
Her longevity in this business has paved the way for her to become a dynamic inspirational speaker who leaves her audiences, inspired, motivated and challenged to discover their passion and pursue their destiny.
Ms. Winslow is the author of “DEVOURED BY PASSION, subtitled “Determined to DO My Destiny” which chronicles her journey throughout the industry.
She is also an ordained minister.
When asked to what she credits her phenomenal success, “Ms. Ellie” as she is affectionately referred to by many of her clients and colleagues, clearly states, “God has ALWAYS been my agent. Although, I have never had to campaign for an assignment, I have continuously perfected my craft and searched for my highest good, knowing that what I was seeking was also seeking me.
